Toyota RAV4

You can choose your RAV4 in LE, XLE, XLE Premium, Adventure, TRD Off-Road, and Limited trim levels. All but Adventure and TRD Off-Road models are available with a hybrid powertrain, and there is an additional XSE Hybrid model.

The LE gives you 17-inch steel wheels, multi-LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, black power mirrors, dual chrome-tipped exhaust, and LED taillights. The XLE adds alloy wheels, fog lamps, touch-sensor door handles, and color-keyed heated mirrors with turn signals. Go with the XLE Premium for 19-inch wheels, a power moonroof, and a power tailgate.

With the sporty XSE Hybrid, you get two-tone paint and black trim, while the Adventure trim has unique, rugged styling details. The TRD Off-Road is designed for trails and offers LED fog lamps, skid plates, and 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires. With the range-topping Limited trim, you get a unique grille, 19-inch super-chrome wheels, chrome-accented door handles, and the option of a hands-free tailgate.

Standard power for the RAV4 comes from a smooth 203-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 184 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid powertrain pairs the 2.5-liter engine with an electric motor and a continuously variable transmission for a total system output of 219 horsepower.

Adventure, TRD Off-Road, and all hybrid models come standard with an all-wheel-drive system that's optional for other models. The system offers four drive modes to suit any surface. The TRD Off-Road also features a specially tuned suspension to help you tackle the toughest trails. The RAV4 can tow up to 1,500 pounds.

The RAV4's cabin offers plenty of space for passengers and cargo. In the LE you'll find fabric upholstery and an infotainment system with a 7-inch touch screen, smartphone integration, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and six-speaker audio with satellite radio. The XLE adds a push-button start, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The XLE Premium offers simulated leather upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift lever.

Going with the Adventure trim gets you a unique orange-accented interior, a digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch touch screen, and a 120-volt power outlet. The TRD Off-Road features a red-accented cabin, while the XSE Hybrid gets blue details, heated front seats, and ambient lighting. The top-of-the-range Limited trim offers luxurious appointments, navigation, and an 11-speaker JBL audio system.

Helping to keep you in control is the standard Star Safety System. It features enhanced vehicle stability control and traction control, an anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, and Smart Stop technology. Additionally, you get trailer sway control and hill-start assist.

All RAV4 models are also equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0. This suite of driver assistance technologies includes lane tracing assist, lane departure alert with steering assist, full-speed adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, road sign recognition, and a pre-collision system with pedestrian alert.
